As we approach the end of a calendar year, our thoughts are reflective on an ending, as well as a new beginning. There is the planning of a new year’s resolution, while, at the same time, we are celebrating the accomplishments of the previous year’s efforts. There is usually a material focus to our mental checklist, as we categorize our actions, and the inevitable toll that stress takes on us.

Japan Achieves "Miracle" Goal of 360 Centers Teaching BWV in 2008

Dahn Yoga in Japan announced that on November 28 it reached the extraordinary goal getting commitments in 2008 to open 360 centers for teaching Brain Wave Vibration. Because the year started with 87 centers operating or ready to open, the addition of 273 franchised centers is considered virtually a miracle.

Brain Wave Vibration is taught in many places by certified instructors: Dahn Yoga Centers, Body + Brain Centers, Honor’s Haven Resort & Spa, retreat centers such as the Sedona Mago Retreat Center and the HSP Ranch, and local schools, community centers, and workplaces. Last month, for the first time, instructor training was held outside of a centralized training facility.

BWV at the New York City Marathon

On November 2, 2008, approximately 40,000 runners from every corner of the world descended upon Manhattan to participate in the ING New York City Marathon. Each year the number of participants at this huge annual event increases as more and more people challenge themselves, not only to run and complete the 26-miles, but also to improve the condition of their bodies and their overall health.

Scientific Research on Brain Wave Vibration Performed in Japan

Research results from two very important experiments were announced at the 2nd International Brain Education & Brain Wave Vibration Seminar on November 9, 2008. Two Japanese scientists presented their research titled, Brain Wave Vibration and Serotonin and The Psychological Effects of Brain Wave Vibration.

Second Annual "HSP Walk" for At-Risk Children

In honor of "Ilchi Lee Day" as proclaimed by the City of Atlanta on Oct. 28, 2001, Dahn Yoga Centers in Atlanta, GA held their 2nd annual "HSP Walk for At-Risk Children" on October 26, 2008, at Chastain Park in Buckhead, GA. This year, the HSP Walk was a fundraiser for STAR House Foundation, an after-School Site Program which helps at-risk students from struggling families.
